MTC weeks.

Nature lovers all, what kind of hawk is this guy?  I did a bit of research and came up with "sharp shinned hawk"  mostly from the call that the parents and this guy make which is a series of  "eees"  close together.  The parents are small, always perch way up high on the top branch of the willow, and may have stolen a woodpecker made nest for their nest.  Not sure about that.  This guy doesn't fly yet but is fearless as I was about 3 feet away on the last shot and he still stood his ground.

Tahoe race

The race  IS ON, i cant figure out how to post pictures from my phone so those will have to come later. David got us a good start on leg1, i lost all that we gained on leg 2, becky fineshed strong on leg three and grandpa is almost halfway through leg four now. its hot, really hot, but we have lots of water.
